User-Generated Content Policy

This page explains how Soado Boards handles user-generated content submitted to our service, including board titles, descriptions, messages, signatures, images, and any other material posted by board creators or contributors.
By creating a board, posting a message, uploading content, or otherwise using Soado Boards, you agree to this policy, our Terms of Service, and our Privacy Policy.
What Counts as User-Generated Content
User-generated content includes any content you submit to Soado Boards, such as:
- Board titles and descriptions
- Messages, notes, and signatures
- Uploaded images or media
- Profile information you choose to provide
- Any other content shared through a board or account
Ownership of Your Content
You keep ownership of the content you create and submit.
You are responsible for making sure you have the right to post that content, including any text, photos, artwork, names, or other material relating to other people.
License You Grant to Soado Boards
To operate the service, you grant Soado Boards a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, format, and distribute your content only as needed to:
- Provide and maintain the service
- Display content on the relevant boards
- Back up and secure the platform
- Moderate content and enforce our policies
- Investigate abuse, fraud, or legal complaints
This license ends within a reasonable period after the content is deleted from our systems, except where we must retain limited copies for backup, security, legal, or compliance reasons.
Your Responsibilities
You confirm that:
- You own the content you submit, or you have permission to use it
- Your content does not infringe another person’s intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other legal rights
- Your content is accurate where accuracy matters
- Your content complies with applicable law and this policy
If you post personal information about someone else, you must have a valid reason and any consent required by law.
Content Rules
You may not use Soado Boards to post, upload, or share content that:
- Is unlawful, fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive
- Is defamatory, abusive, threatening, hateful, or harassing
- Encourages violence, self-harm, terrorism, or criminal activity
- Is pornographic, sexually exploitative, or otherwise obscene
- Infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights
- Impersonates another person or misrepresents affiliation
- Contains malware, harmful code, or attempts to disrupt the service
- Publishes sensitive personal data without authorization
- Is spam, unsolicited promotion, or scam content
We may remove content that violates these rules, or that we reasonably believe creates legal, safety, or reputational risk for users or for Soado Boards.
Board Owner Controls
Board creators control the boards they create. This includes the ability to:
- Share or stop sharing a board link
- Remove messages from their board
- Delete their board, subject to system retention and backup limits
Board ownership does not override this policy. We may still restrict, review, or remove content when necessary.
Moderation and Enforcement
We may review, restrict, remove, or disable access to user-generated content if we believe it violates this policy, our Terms of Service, or applicable law.
We may also suspend or terminate accounts or board access for repeated or serious violations.
We are not required to monitor all content, but we reserve the right to do so.
Reporting Content
If you believe content on Soado Boards violates your rights or this policy, contact us at `[email protected]` and include:
- A description of the content
- The board URL or other location details
- Why you believe it should be reviewed or removed
- Your contact information
If you are reporting copyright infringement, include enough information for us to identify the work, the allegedly infringing content, and your authority to make the report.
Removal Requests and Legal Compliance
We may remove content without prior notice where appropriate. We may also preserve or disclose relevant information if required to comply with law, enforce our policies, protect our users, or respond to legal claims.
Public and Shared Access
Boards are typically shared by private link, but anyone with the link may be able to view and contribute, depending on the board settings and product behavior in effect at the time.
Do not post content you would not want shared with everyone who has access to the board link.
Retention
Deleted content may remain in backups or logs for a limited period. We retain and delete personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of Soado Boards after an update means you accept the revised policy.
